LISATS Point is not an official geographic designation, but is used
as a landmark in ham radio operations in communicating with Brevard County
Emergency Management officials. An official, but informal "net" of hams in
the area is called for each launch on 147.135 MHz (+600 KHz) as the eyes
and ears of Brevard County, should an official emergency be declared.
146.940 MHz is the frequency in the 2 Meter ham radio band where LISATS transmits its launch information, and commentary.
Don't forget a jacket or sweater It can get rather breezy that close to the ocean.
